Description

We are seeking an experienced internal auditor to join Internal Audit team at Liberty General Insurance Limited. As an auditor you will play a pivotal role in delivering high quality, risk-based audit engagements that provide value to management. You will have the opportunity to engage in cross-functional audits while you acquire an in-depth knowledge of the business and enhance your personal development in experiencing a multi-cultural work environment. This will be an individual contributor role, based out in the Corporate Office, Mumbai.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • On a project basis, perform a full audit life cycle through risk analysis, control identification, development and testing of audit program steps and reporting. Has a thorough understanding of project management skills ensuring audit execution meets department expectations.
  • Using your time-tested skills in examining the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance and the efficiency of the operational processes and timely documenting your audit work with relevant comments and working papers properly referenced to any and all findings.
  • Effectively communicates audit issues and related recommendations to management. Makes recommendations for audit finding rankings and effectively supports conclusions during discussions with audit clients.
  • Maintains proficient technical knowledge of complex business processes and IT systems processes. Interprets the associated risks, develops testing approaches, and proposes solutions.
  • Drive forward the adoption and usage of data analytics within the audit life cycle (i.e. planning, scoping and execution). Explore the business processes and data to proactively identify opportunities for innovation and application of analytics for risk assessment.
  • Formulates and executes continuous process and organizational improvement direction and programs that enhance overall effectiveness; proactively seeks ways to improve audit process and department management processes.  Ensures processes under review are documented and analyzed in accordance with IIA standards and Liberty Internal Audit Methodology.Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of internal audit practices and the ability to evaluate internal controls as typically acquired through 3 or more years of audit or relevant business experience.

Key Requirements:

  • Progress toward completing a professional designation like CISA, CIA, etc. is preferred.
  • Experience with a Big 4+ firm and/or multinational company will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others, including Senior Management as well as strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required to convey audit results to both senior management and direct audit clients.
  • Must have effective analytical, problem solving, and research skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Power BI
  • Must be proficient in native language an English. Experience with multiple cultures and working with remote teams are preferred.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred (MBA, CA, CIA, etc.)
