Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • To manage Travel Insurance Product and Underwriting business , should also have knowledge to manage Group Health and Group Personal Accident quotes / referrals
  • System Requirement gathering, UAT and co-ordination with IT team and other relevant stakeholders for development of Health products and system implementation from end to end
  • Providing Underwriting inputs in Product Development  & revision for Group Policies
  • Coordinating with Operations and Claims for Inception, Policy Servicing and Claims settlement
  • Coordination with local sales team in understanding and developing the risk profile of group policies for underwriting within the set guidelines.
  • To analyse and review the portfolio.
  • To work on renewals
  • To develop working relationships with Intermediaries.

 

Competencies:

  • Underwriting Skills for Travel Insurance (must required), Group Health and Group PA
  • Efficiently able to handle IT projects from end to end to implement process, business requirement documents, should be able to manage UATs and final production sign off
  • Closely need to work with stakeholders like IT development team , Sales, UW , Claims, Operations and Finance for UW product implementation projects
  • Knowledge of Health Insurance products and processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Working knowledge of IT system
  • Market intelligence
  • Good communication skill

Experience:

Minimum 8-10 years of working experience in Underwriting role in General Insurance Company.

Qualifications

Minimum – Bachelor Degree

Preferred : Post Graduate Degree
