Product Manager-Commercial Lines Underwriting

Responsibilities:

• Underwriting of Engineering Insurance products (EAR/CAR/CPM/MBD/EEIP/BPP) as per company guidelines.
• Responsible for preparation of Quotation, Terms and Conditions including preparation of slips/forms for special referrals / facultative support to be sent to the Reinsurance team.
• Ensure 100% compliance with all the underwriting approvals & guidelines.
• Conduct trainings w.r.t. Engineering products & UW processes with Internal business team and external members as when demanded.
• Regular connect with distribution team and Intermediary to Grow business Mix
• Contribute in achieving the top-line & LR targets as set by the management through regular reviews with all stakeholders
• Maintaining the track of Business data, preparing the MIS and provide data for analysis as & when required.

Role Objective / Purpose:

• Risk assessment and end-to-end underwriting of Engineering line of business proposals, preparation of quotation and support the various location underwriters and sales teams on ongoing deals.
• Preparation, analysis, data management pertaining to the Engineering line of business products such as RFQ tracker, instalments, extensions, conversion ratio..etc
• Coordination with sales teams and local underwriting teams to ensure smooth flow of proposals, quotations at Head office.
• Coordination with Reinsurance team for special approvals and facultative support.
• Preparation of technical, project presentations for clients, brokers, underwriters
• Maintain engineering insurance files, wordings, circulars, quotations, MIS/data and keep them up to date.
• Work with the Operation and IT teams for development of digital portals, modules, client mailers..etc
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment

Experience:

• 3-6 years of relevant working experience into Engineering Insurance underwriting
• Underwriting experience of Construction/Project insurance (EAR/CAR) in the Indian Market.
• Knowledge of Engineering Insurance products such as EAR/CAR/CPM/MBD/EEIP/BPP.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Power Point and Word

Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduation
